I like to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall every season. The changing face and feel of the gardens is always spectacular and surprising. So when the Weekly Photo Challenge asked us to show “transition” , this was one of the first places I thought of.
These are the heads of globe artichokes that have been left for seed.
What did you expect?
Money! Taxes! Through fingers like water.
Government! Politicians! Give no quarter.
Towns! Streets!In Decay,
we really have no say.
Shops! Business’s! Close!
Dilapidated buildings, so morose.
Fat bankers,laughing and tight,
Saying “sod you Jack, I’m alright!”
