One of the joys of the first fall of snow is lying down and making “Snow Angels”
There it lay, crisp and white
Fresh and pure from the fall last night
hear the gleeful squeals of children at play
Eyes bright at the sight
of untrodden virgin snow
Hello to all readers, followers , friends and fellow bloggers!!
We have changed the theme of our blog as we felt that it showed off the photos and the words a little better. Also caught up with the “out with the old, in with the New” vibe that is around us everywhere!!
However, dear readers, we would value your opinions on the new appearance.
Please feel free to comment and thank you all so much for your support since we started just a couple of months ago. We love it here and are constantly amazed and delighted at the talent of our fellow bloggers.
Reds, browns, yellows and green
Amber, orange and gold
Crisp Autumn days
Leaves under foot crackle
Along came the forties
In a Summer so bright
Some say the naughties
Everything seems so right.
From the poem: Life Cycle
Red Wine was the first of Robert’s poems that inspired me to create a piece of art from poetry. The image may not be the obvious one, but was inspired by these lines..
“You mature in fine design
Become full bodied in time
Oh to open you like a flower….”
I was inspired by Robert’s beautiful poem to paint this picture.
“Stood in the corner gathering dust
Pitted with rust…”
Painted in acrylics on canvas board.
