For this week’s photo challenge , I chose a photo of a fabulous lamp in the Hotel Bellagio in Las Vegas
Another great challenge from Cee in this weeks Fun Foto Challenge, and here is my version of mud, mud, glorious mud from the rainy UK!
Another great challenge from Ceenphotography. This week its about finding animals and birds in nature. I chose to look at birds this week, from the humble pigeon via an albino peacock to an exotic flamingo.
Is this flower is a work of art…. I like to imagine that Georgia O’Keeffe would think so
I lay cold and pale
In a casket made of wood
Six foot hole awaits
In a world I once stood.
Rat a tat tat
Pitter patter
Rain plays on the lid
Water splatters.
A lone mourner awaits
Cold at the graveside
Trees bent heavy with rain
Widows veil hides
A single tear on a bloodless cheek
Umbrella held high
Jet black raincoat
A young/old female sighs.
In the back of a black limousine
No flowers adorned
Last journey South
Body only loaned
Through the cemetery gates
Wheels soft on the loose gravel way
Mourner turns to look
Legs unforgiving sway
Thunder rolls
Lighting strikes
Her Red high heels click
Just as he likes
Tyres soft in respect
Hush the light
Dark clouds hover
Ravens take flight
His eternal tomb removed
On four shoulders an empty soul
Six paces only
Laid beside the open hole.
No word said
Lowered in deep
Pitter patter
Forever asleep.
Pitch black rain coat
With tissue to eye
The single tear drop
Now wiped dry.
Red shoes turn
And walk away
Only memories now
She leaves, never to return another day.
I have so many pictures of leaves and trees , I decided to just stick to leaves for my entry to Cee’s challenge on her blog ceenphotography.
My friends on the Lake Como ferry, having the luxury of a lakeside seat each. We used the ferry every day. On this particular trip, it was a good hair day!!
Bluebells remind me of Spring more than any other flower!
The Bluebell is the sweetest flower
That waves in summer air:
Its blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit’s care.

This post is in response to Cee Neuners Photo Challenge on her fabulous blog, Ceenphotography. I love taking photos of flowers , especially as I live in the glorious Exmoor countryside with a next door neighbour who is a keen floral exhibitor and grower.
Here are a couple of examples
Early spring crocuses or is that crocii??
A perfect red dahlia
