I remember my grandmother baking the most delicious cakes, and she always used a wooden sieve to get the lumps out of the flour. They always tasted sublime.
Recently I acquired a vintage wooden sieve of my own
My cakes are yet to taste sublime!

My grandmother had one of those too.
What joy to find one like your grandmother’s! I’m sure yours will taste eventually taste sublime, too. If not, you’ll just have to enjoy the connection with your grandmother. 🙂
