I really can’t believe that this is the last challenge in Photo101. Its been such an excellent way of meeting new bloggers, improving my photo skills and has certainly made me think very hard about some of the topics.
This is the final challenge ” Triumph”. I was completely stuck until Rob asked if there was a particular plant in the garden which was rare or hard to grow. This photo is of a plant called a “Molland Lily”. Many of the remote hedgerows within the parish contain isolated clumps of Lilium Pyrenaicum which is native to the Pyrenees Mountains. The plant is thought by some to have been introduced by members of a religious community, possibly when local monks brought back seeds from Spain in medieval times. This year I managed to grow just the one plant and here it is .
